TWO VERY SPECIAL LADIES

image

Today I want to tell you about 2 very special people in my life –

There names are Theresa & Regina.  They are my younger sisters.

I am always amazed  when I am with them.  I am constantly learning from them –

The relationship they have with each other is beautiful.  They are there for each other, in most everything they do.

I have had the pleasure of being in their company 3 weekends in a row, and to see them interact with each other – makes my heart overflow with love –

Such beauty and peace surround them, and I for one am proud to call them my sisters.

There is nothing selfish in there bones, they are there for my Mom – always doing for her and making her feel so special.

We all live in different parts of the U.S. so we do try and help, but for the most part it’s up to the 2 little sisters, and let me tell you, they do it with such grace and beauty.

I love you both for taking such good care of Mom and each other.

As the saying above says “enjoy the little things in life, because one day you will realize those little things were really the BIG things in your life”

This goes out to my baby sisters –

Bless you both – Theresa & Regina…

Much love,

Rose

BUTTON HEART FRAME……

How to create heart frame:

Print off heart template –

Gather as many buttons as you can (what ever color you like)

I love pink and white – so that is what I used.

You will need a hot glue gun – utility knife (blade).

Don’t do what I did – I put the the glue on the back of the button and then attached it to the template – half way through I burned my finger pretty bad.

After burning my finger, I decided to put the hot glue on the outline of the heart and then put the button down.  (much better)

Go all the way around the heart with your buttons, then put one button in the center of each button you just put down.

See 2nd 3rd and 4th picture for more detail –

After you have finished with all the buttons – use a utility knife to cut around the outside and inside of the heart.

Pictures will follow of “Home is where the heart is” Cross stitch.

Not completed yet.

Had to zoom in on this cute little box… Found this at Hobby Lobby …

This is the chair we both want to sit in at the same time.

– I love this chair. So comfortable.

This is a good story – a friend gave the crate to me.  I loved it, but it was not functional – I wanted a piece of glass for the top, but Pete had another idea.

He took the entire front apart, turned the crate upside down put the front of the crate back slat by slat – I now have a top to display a few pictures and a small light.

Took him most of the day – but so worth it – Looks beautiful…

Another good story –

I had my eye on this window for almost a year – it was outside against an old shed down the road from where I live.

I wanted to ask the person who lived at this house if I could have it – never got up enough nerve to do it.

One day when passing by – I noticed the window was gone.

I was so upset – told Pete about it, he felt bad for me too.

Pete proceeded to go to the person’s house – and mentioned about the window, (Matt) said he had a few in his basement, went to get them  and said to take two, and give them to me as a Christmas gift.

Pete’s intention was to do just that – he wanted to surprise me.

It was the best surprise –

Now I have 2 old windows in my home.

I love them – I love you hun for always thinking about me.

CHRISTMAS CARDS THIS YEAR – TAGS FOR GIFTS NEXT

Hey everyone-

I was talking with my sister Mary Ann the other day and she had a great idea for my blog-

She reminded me of how our Nana would use the old Christmas cards from the year before, and make Christmas tags for her gifts the following year.

So here is my take on Nana’s tags…..

(Cards in 2013 become tags in 2014….)

I didn’t even use the entire card – I made 2 tags from one card-

As you can see I used small sections from each card.

The little snowman is from the back of a card.

You can use what ever you want from your Christmas cards to create your special tags –

All you need is:

Rubber cement

Christmas scrap booking paper

Decorative scissors

Hole punch

Twine

And of course old Christmas cards.

Thanks M.A. it was so much fun.

Much love,

Rose

HAPPY NEW YEAR

image

Well here we are a brand new year 2014 – I can’t believe a whole year has passed.

I have so much to do this year with my ETSY business and this wonderful blog.

I love both of them – I am in full bloom with making jewelry, and feel I am becoming more and more creative.

I will be opening Much love Rose sometime in January – I will post it on my blog when the store opens. (can’t wait)

I remember when I was growing up, Mom & Dad would always say, You have this or that talent, and God wants you to use that talent, never did I think it would be making jewelry.

So Mom & Dad I am using my talents.  Thank you for teaching us that.

Everyone have a healthy & Happy New Year.

Much love,

Rose

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS….

Merry Christmas to my family & friends—-

It is 8:45 pm Christmas evening, just remembering back on this wonderful day.

We started with a fantastic breakfast prepared by our daughter-in-law Jenny – she made unbelievable pancakes – A full batch of bacon pecan pancakes and a full batch of apple pecan – they were delicious

Along with these amazing pancakes, was bacon then topped off with mimosas –

After breakfast we played with Clark (Aly’s cat) he is so darn cute.

Sat around and listened to music and watched a few TV shows.

I began to prepare dinner around 4:00.

We all sat down around 5:30 to Italian wedding soup. Then a pork roast with apple almond stuffing, wild rice and brussel sprouts.

Followed by many cookies…

Kristin & Jenny brought with them a huge container of homemade cookies and I also made 4 different types – so needless to say we had lots of sweets.

Spending time with family is amazing,  We were so happy to be with each other.   We are so blessed to have the love we have for each other.

I made special gifts for the girls as well – they received them on Christmas Eve –

All 3 girls received gold necklaces with stamped initials on them –

They loved them – it makes me so happy they really love my work.

God has been so good to me, I now have a new craft which I am using to make others smile.

I pray it will be successful.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Much love,

Rose

A Chair for each of us ~

Hi Again-

I had to post this picture because it reminds me of our Sister’s Weekend.

My sister Cathy usually has a sister’s weekend sometime in July – what fun we all have seeing each other – telling stories of our lives in the past year and drinking wine, yes we all love our wine.

Life with my sisters, is just wonderful.  I love them all so much and we can’t wait to be with each other time and time again.

We all have such an amazing relationship, and we all owe that to our parents.  They taught us the meaning of family – with 8 daughters my mom was always cooking, cleaning and doing wash. (God Bless her)

Just now I am on the phone with my sister Josie (for the 3rd x today) we talk about everything from decorating to “what are you making for dinner”  Sometimes we just laugh and laugh and laugh…..for no reason.

We all live in different parts of the U.S. but we are all connected by our hearts.

Much love

Rose

p.s. Cathy this is for you…Love you honey
