CHRISTMAS TOUR 2014

Hello all –

Just a little tour of our home – Hoping you are having a wonderful Christmas season.

It was so much fun decorating this year.  I kept it simple – not too many things around, because when you take everything away it look quite empty…It usually takes me a couple of weeks to get use to the house again.

This is a picture of my perpetual calendar – I purchased this 20 yrs ago.

2014 Christmas Tree…..*****

The packages are wrapped in (Dollar Store) brown paper and added some ribbon, then stamped the side of the package with this cute string of lights.

So simple.

One in green… Oh and the tags are the tags I made with Christmas cards I received last year…

COMING SOON***********

Well we are almost there – we finished the mold issue – will be having the rugs installed on Thursday ***YEA*** (need to get this house back to normal)

Painted the railings – they look beautiful —— Thanks Hun…..

painted, painted, and painted some more.

Will be redoing the dining room a bit different.

We will be using a mirror on the only wall – so the hutch will be placed near the family room – (you can still see it from the dining room)

Here is a sneak peak of the mirror

We went shopping in our home for this one and saved $350 that’s a bargain – It use to be cream and Pete painted it white.  I love the white..

Did purchase a new lamp for the buffet –

Vienna Full Spectrum

It matches my chandelier.  Purchased it on Lamps Plus “

So until next week I send lots of Love and a wonderful weekend.

Rose

GOOD MORNING ****

Good Morning Everyone-

It’s been a real long time since I have posted anything on my blog.

We have had a very busy summer, graduations, showers, and a beautiful wedding.

To get back home and figure out what we are doing with our retired lives.

We thought we might want to leave New York, so we took a trip to Florida and looked at a house (fell in love with it) but realized we are really North Easterners – we truly love the 4 seasons.

So now that we are staying in NY we decided to change the rugs in our condo.

After Pete removed the rugs we found mold by the door to the deck.

We had to postpone the rug install until Oct 23rd.  We have someone fixing the mold problem – its a bit involved, but the end result will be so much better.

Can’t wait to get our home back to normal.  We are living on concrete floors and one chair and the sofa.

Everything else is scattered throughout the house.

Dust everywhere, but I guess it is a good time to do home improvement, the windows can be opened, for the dust, and I will be fall cleaning after this anyway.

Just a couple of pictures where we are now.

This is my dining room ***

This is the family room

mold by the door to the deck

Another picture of the mold – it cracked the concrete (not good)

But on a good note – it’s being fixed.  YEA****

I will be posting pictures of the new living room and dining room after the 23rd of October.

Have a wonderful day & be grateful for all you have, especially family.

Much love,

Rose

JUST A FEW CHANGES AROUND THE HOUSE *******

As you might know by now – I love to rearrange – ANYTHING…

So that being said – the other day I asked Pete if he would help me put my desk in his office – it was in the Master Bedroom –

I was able to take my hope chest out of storage, and put it in place of the desk – looks so much better then the desk did.

Close up

Which brings me to where I put the table that was in the office.  – more rearranging

This is where the table found it home.

In the Family Room *****

The sofa table found a new spot in the Dining Room

Finally last by not least the little black table that was in the dining room has a new home in the entry way..

I love it here  *****

Hope you enjoyed our new but old additions to our home.

Have a wonderful day

Much love,

Rose
