Good Morning My Friends~

We have some news to share with you – We are moving !!!

home sweet home

I am so excited  ~  I miss my family so much.

It is good to know we will only be 2+ hours from our family ~ so much better than 4+ hours.

We chose Pennsylvania –

The condo is up for sale, and we have our first showing this Monday.  Please keep your fingers and toes crossed –

It’s so REAL now.

It will be a new adventure, but I love an adventure.  Making new friends, finding new places that will be special to us.

“A new church”  ~

Not sure if we will ever have a church like the one we have now.  It is such a small community, and the friends we have made are so special – but !! we will do our best to find another special church and community.

st lucy's

St Lucy’s Altamont N.Y. ~ This is our church now.

So sweet, one we will never forget.

I know this is the right thing to do – My heart tells me we must go.

It will be bitter sweet, but never the less it is right.

I will keep you updated with our progress.

Much love,

Rose

Apple Rose puffed pastries ~

Good Morning My Friends ~

I found an amazing recipe on Pinterest the other day ~

I am so excited to share this with you.  It was so easy to make & yes I did use the new Baking Station.  Makes life a little easier when everything is right there for you.

Ingredients ~

3 Apples ~ I used Gala apples ~

2 sheets of puffed pastries, thawed

6T of apricot preserves

4T of water

Juice from  1/2 a lemon or 2T of lemon juice

Cinnamon

Sugar

I used 3T sugar and 1T of cinnamon ~

Directions ~

Remove puffed pastries from freezer and thaw according to package

Slice the apples in half from top to bottom

Remove the core ends and then scoop out the core in the center ~ I used a melon ball scooper ~

Slice the apples into very thin slices

Apple Rose Puffed Pastries

Fill a medium sized bowl half full of water and squeeze the lemon juice into the water.

Place the sliced apples in the water and microwave for 5 minutes until slightly tender.

Drain the apples into a colander.

Mix the apricot preserves and water together in a bowl.

When pastries are thawed, place them flat on a floured surface.

Roll the pastries out with a rolling pin the flatten just a little more.

Cut each pastry into 6 equal slices.

One at a time, spoon apricot preserve mixture onto a slice of pastry.

Place 7-9 apple slices along one half of the pastry slice with the peel side facing out.

Apple Rose Puffed Pastries17

Fold the pastry in half to cover the apples.

Starting on one end, roll the pastry and apples to the other end of the pastry.

Place in a muffin tin.

Apple Rose Puffed Pastries

Continue with the other pieces of pastries until you have 12 apple roses.

Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.  (I mix 1T cinnamon to 3T of sugar)

Place a pan of water on the bottom rack of oven so the bottom of pastries do not burn.

Bake at 375 for 40 -45 minutes.

Top with a little powered sugar if desired as well.

ENJOY!!!

They are so good ~

~ Makes 12 apple pastries ~

Have a wonderful day.

Pantry Now Baking Station

Hi Friends ~

I am so excited to share my new baking station ~

It all started with a vision – I looked at so many pictures on Pinterest & Houzz –  I had a space in my kitchen use for the pantry, but I just kept filling it up with all kinds of things, some things I never used – I really wanted a baking station, so my wonderful husband created this for me.  I had the vision, and he build it for me.

The cart was purchased at WayFair.com

Now totally completed ~ It is just want I had in mind.    A huge Thank You to Pete for creating this special place for me.

It also give the kitchen a larger feel.

Took the door off ~ now it looks like it has always been there.

Put a piece of pegboard on the right side – It’s such a great invention – holds many things that were inside the pantry – The small shelves 18″ long are what made the space.

I am so happy with how this all turned out.

Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Much love,

Rose

Here are the flowers boxes ~ I love them because the flowers do not need to be watered every day. Just fill the little well on top with water and it fills the base of the boxes ~ no worrying for 2/3 days, which is wonderful if you are on vacation for a few days ~

I had this iron basket in my guest bathroom with a faux plant in it, but the plant was always so dusty so I decided to use it outside the M/B on the balcony. I love how the impatiens look in it. They are doing well, because there is no direct sunlight in this corner ~

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Time

Hi All ~

Hope you are enjoying your day today ~

I purchased these 4 herb boxes through ~ Decor Steals ~  www.decorsteals.com  a few weeks ago.  They were delivered on Thursday.  I was so excited to get them in just the perfect place.

I noticed them on Pinterest, and loved how they were displayed, but everyone home is different.  This is why it took me a few tries before I found the right spot for them.

I think they look great on my small sofa table, because I can keep them all together ~ Two on the bottom, and two on top.

I’m very happy with how they came out.

Just added the faux plants and a few little faux flowers ~

Have a wonderful day.

Much love,

Rose
