A Little bit of France

We had a HUGE garage sale this Saturday in our little town of Altamont.

It is an annual tradition ~ you find lots of good things.

I purchased this beautiful picture “A Little bit of France”

It is perfect in our office space, and I have it over my desk. ~YEA~

New wreath & a few other outdoor surprises

Hi Friends ~

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful spring day. It has reached 74 today ~ YEA ~

I have been a bit busy the past few day, Pete & I have decided to redo my rocking chair ~ (for outdoors)

He sanded it down yesterday, and I was going to prime, then paint it, but decided to stain it white. I will be doing this tomorrow.

I redid my wreath for the front door & love how it looks.

I am keeping the theme of red & white ~ my rocking chair has red & white striped cushions also a cute little pillow in red with RELAX embroidered on it.

Hydrangeas ~ Michael’s ~ only $10 for 2 red & 1 large white.

Relax pillow ~ Last year I purchased a beach towel from Pottery Barn ~ on sale for $7 ~ They embodied RELAX for an additional $8 so total was $15

My friend Barbara made the pillow for only $10 ~ For a sweet personal pillow the cost was $25

Have not yet purchased the stain ~ That is another post. (When everything is completed)

I want to have flowers outside as well ~so be a bit patience ~

New Patio Furniture

Well its finally spring in Altamont N.Y.

The weather is so nice ~ In the 60 today and all week ~ YEA ~

So excited to put the new patio furniture on our Master B/R Balcony.

I am so excited with how it all turned out, still need the flowers ~ but not until May.

We are using hanging flower boxes off the balcony ~

SPRING IT’S ON IT’S WAY

My dear friends~

Spring is on it’s way ~ we are starting to feel it more and more every day.

Yesterday it was 58 degrees ~ this is why I love March ~ you get those wonderful sneak peek of spring.

It’s been sunny for the past 1+ weeks, and it put you in the mood to start spring cleaning. Pete & I have been sick on and off for the past 3 weeks, and yesterday we both starting feeling so much better. As I was moving things around (oh that’s different for me) hahaha, I had so much energy & kept thanking God for giving me the strength to continue on.

It felt so good to work all day.

Balcony off Master Bedroom

Good Morning Friends ~

We are redoing our little balcony off the Master Bedroom –

My inspiration for the redo was when I saw this picture – I always thought the seating had to be side by side, but looking at this photo I realized this would work so much better on our small balcony.

We love having our first cup of coffee outside (when the weather is good) and in the evening a glass of wine together.

I researched small balcony furniture and came up with these

I’m excited to receive them, but there is so much snow right now that I will not be able to put them outside until April…

Saturday Morning

Good Morning my Friends ~

As I sit here looking outside it’s becoming pretty clear that we are going to be looking at snow for a good long time.

We had a storm door installed in November, and I think I’m never going to see it opened. It has the coolest drop down screen and I just want to feel the fresh air coming into the house.

Sometime it takes so long for the winter to pass.

I need a little spring day –

We all have our feeling about winter, and I know it is a good time to organize, but I still want to open my new storm door.

Stay warm and cozy by the fireplace – or if you are in a warmer climate ENJOY the warm weather .

I guess I am lucky to have a beautiful fireplace.

storm door 2 — At the top – as you pull down the white box the screen is tucked away and will begin to show and the glass fits nicely at the bottom of the door.

NEW LOOK FOR THE DINING ROOM

OK we all know by now – winter is the best time for rearranging – you are in the house so much, that you actually have time to look at your home – with that being said, I decided to rearrange my dining room again.

All we did was turn the table – put the sofa table in front of the window and lower the mirror, oh yes we did turn the mirror too.
